The best hospitality

by Paul S
(England)

We've just returned from an amazing trip, and have received some of the best and worst customer service ever.

Let's stick to the positives. Our holiday in the United States was made up of travelling around, so we stayed in 5 different places.

One stay was perfect because the boutique hotel just put themselves in our shoes. They arranged a car to pick us up from the airport when we returned our hire car, and then as they knew that we had a train journey the next day organised a picnic lunch for us so that we wouldn't have to eat train food. They even dropped us off at the train station the next morning.

Superb.

The whole stay was full of little details that made it a home from home - it seems so easy when people get it right.

Great breakfasts at a leisurely pace, making sure there was lots of earl grey tea because that's what we drink, lots of bottled water and sodas in the fridge in our room. The room was spotless, quite comforting when you have been travelling and you wonder who was sleeping in the bed the night before - no trace of him or her in this place!

Nothing went wrong here, there was no need to complain because the owners cared about getting it right, every time.
